LINEAR GUIDE
INDUSTRY
MATERIALS
APPLICATION
Linear guides made from ceramic materials can be applied in high vacuum, so completely without the need for lubricants. Furthermore, the high stiffness is an added value for an accurate system. These guides are non-magnetic and well electrically insulating.
Ceramic linear guides can be integrated into ceramic parts. This gives you a stiffer and more precise system than if you would assemble separate components.
PROPERTIES
PRODUCTS
WATER or CHEMISTRYCeramic product: Ceramic linear guide, ceramic raceways and balls, lubricated by water or other chemicals.Advantage: The service life of a mildly loaded bearing will be very long - up to infinity.
MEDICAL APPLICATIONCeramic product: Ceramic linear guide, ceramic raceways, ceramic balls.Advantages: Non-magnetic properties in MRI or special reflection in CT scanners can be beneficial. Can be sterilized.
ULTRA-HIGH VACUUMCeramic product: Untirely ceramic linear guide, ceramic raceways, ceramic balls.Advantage: No lubrication required in ultra-high vacuum.
MAGNETICALLY SENSITIVE ENVIRONMENTCeramic product: Ceramic linear guide.Advantage: Because in some applications the magnetic fields are so strong that no magnetic or conductive material may/can be used, we can still successfully use full ceramic linear guides.
HIGH ACCELERATIONSCeramic product: Lightweight linear guides made entirely of ceramics.Advantage: Linear guides made of ceramics can be 60% lighter in weight than metal guides of the same dimensions. This can be advantageous in fast running applications and in case of high accelerations or decelerations.
LOW FRICTIONCeramic product: Ceramic linear guideAdvantage: Because ceramic materials are harder and stiffer, they theoretically have a lower rolling resistance than metal linear guides, as less elastic deformation occurs.
Cost-effective profile or linear guide with high load capacity.
